As I am reading for my IS-exam I suddenly stumble upon a picture of mr. Data from Star Trek. What is special about this is that this might be the reason I'm interested in IT in the first place. Not the character, but the concept of AI.

I have always been fascinated by the fact that one day we might actually create lifelike artificial intelligence. I have to admit it seems a little to early for this now, but when it comes down to it all they have to come up with is a really smart learning algorithm. This is probably one of the great reasons to work with technology - to create something new. Something that might even change the world *cough* internet *cough*.

Well, I will get back to my reading. I have to prepare for what comes tomorrow.
