TV versus Internet
I cheer for Internet. There, I said it! This is not an objective analysis. You are probably wondering what this little rant is about. Well, in this modern era the Internet is eating up other medias market shares like mutant grasshoppers. I will tell you why: The Internet is better!
Although a very bold statement it seems very true. What happends when you turn on a TV? You lose time! Most channels have a commercial market model that not only feeds you with unwanted advertisement, but by doing so reduces the quality of the entertainment by interruptions.
The content is only one side of this disgustingly timewasting medal. What really makes this medium the worst is its usage. You turn on the TV; by now you can already say goodbye to minimum 15 minutes of your life. What happens next is a relaxed zapping between various boring programs. When you finally find something you like you find out that it is half-way through - and you still have to watch 2 or 3 long commercial breaks for the rest! Thats assuming you know you really like the show and just not thought it seemed interesting.
